Phase 1 - Infrastructure development ​

• Public Testnet 1 - Focused on testing basic domain registration feature. Live on Optimism and Base goerli testnet.
• Social Connect - Connect Discord, Telegram, Twitter along with wallet addresses across multiple chains and more to your domains.
• Public Testnet 2 - Bored town domain social identity attestation. Getting ready for production!
• Mainnet Launch - A fews day after Optimism Bedrock Merge!
• Develop Generalized Registrar Resolver - With Generalized Registrar Resolver, more TLDs such as .op can be supported by Metamask and ethers library in a permissionless way.
• Rainbowkit UI and wagmi support! - Support the resolution of Opti.domains registry in Rainbowkit UI and wagmi library.
• Ethers and metamask support! - Fork ethers and metamask to implement support for our Generalized Registrar Resolver technology. Open a pull request and submit it to ENSIP.

Phase X - Advanced Technology ​

This phase may split into a new entity specialized in cross-chain domains as it requires working with other chains.

• Cross-chain Domain Name - An experiment on bringing ENS based domain cross-chain starting from .town and .op domains!
• Offchain Gateway - Develop offchain gateway to be used with ENS universal resolver.
• OP Stack permissionless deployment - Allow anyone to deploy .op domains on to their OP stack based chain and instantly onboard users from the Optimism chain!

Phase 2 - Optimism Governance Alignment ​

• Customization - Choose your avatar, style your profile!
• Sub Governance - Let Optimism's protocols
• Alliance Formation -
• Builders and Contributors Portfolio - Show what you build. Show your precise contribution to Optimism protocols. We only focus on valuable ones!

Phase 3 - Community Participation ​

• Decentralized Work - Offer development jobs to the market to promote parallel development beginning with college students.
• Contribution Hunting - Invite protocols to organize valuable contribution campaigns that accelerate the Optimism ecosystems.
• Optimism Growth Experiment Grant - Growth Experiment Grant or similar one from season 4 onwards will be distributed to boost the community participation!
• Hackathon for Developers - Developers hate hackathons focusing on pitching. That's why we develop developer-friendly hackathons focusing on long-term development.
• Hackathon for Businesses - Most business hackathons focus on excellent pitching rather than a sustainable business model. We develop a unique way to deliver sustainable business models to developers.

Phase 4 - Governance ​

Opti.domains distribute 80% of domain sale revenue back to the community starting from 2025. The governance council is established to decide how that revenue share should be allocated to the community.

Distribution should prioritize rewarding projects that benefit holders of .op domains. The next stage involves providing funds to encourage new developers to develop projects that will benefit both .op domain holders and Optimism ecosystems.

The rewards won't exhaust with this system. So, new projects constantly enter the Optimism ecosystems as well as reward .op domain holders.

Similar to Netflix's membership model, but instead of movies, we offer services for such common good with some exclusive benefit for domain owners.
